What are Camp Cards?

The Camp Card Sale is  designed to help Scouts earn their own way to summer camp, a high adventure base or Cub Scout day camp.  The Camp Card is a “discount card” that offers deals at area businesses to the purchaser. Participating units and their Scouts will earn at least 50% commission for each card they sell! For every $5.00 card sold, your Scout earns $2.50 for themselves or their Pack, Troop or Crew. These funds can be used for any Scouting activity including Day Camp and Summer Camp.

A customer can purchase a Camp Card, but they’ll get far more than the purchase price.   If a customer regularly visits any of the stores on the card and uses all of the discounts, they will be receiving all of their money back — plus they will help someone go to summer camp.  This is a low risk fundraiser, as units can return their unsold cards.

How to sell!

You and your Scouts can sell your cards any way you see fit. Sell them to your family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, etc. For some ideas on how to sell your Camp Cards click here to download the Maximizing Your Camp Card Sale flyer.

Camp Card Extension

We understand that Camp Card Sales have been impacted with the closing of business, schools, etc. due to COVID 19 pandemic and due to this the Central Georgia Council has extended the camp card payment/settlement deadline.  Since the state has lifted some restrictions please see the information below; we encourage units to start selling again if your unit and chartered organization approve.  We just ask that everyone please use common sense; use face coverings and masks; maintain social distancing; and Be safe!

Update on COVID-19 & Scouting

As of June 16, the current State of Georgia order allows gatherings of 50 or more to meet if they can remain 6 feet apart at all times or if they can spread out across more than one location.  Consistent with prior announcements; individual pack, troop, crew, and post units may make separate decisions regarding meetings and activities in conjunction with their chartered organization. Units must also, follow all guidelines and requirements of our state and local health officials and our lawmakers. Orders are regularly released from the State of Georgia, and keep in mind your local county, city, and chartered organization may have policies of their own.

New Camp Card Due Date
